Title: Senior / Staff Applications Engineer
Reports to: Director, Applications Engineering
Requisition #: AE11

Position Description
Work as a member of a small team to provide both pre-sales and post-sales support for Lightspeed Logic intellectual property and related DesignBuilder tool. The candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer support for Lightspeed Logic Array IP and the DesignBuilder placement and buffering tool. Provide customer feedback to Lightspeed marketing and engineering including customer requests for product enhancements, processing of customer bug reports, and coordinating & leading weekly meetings with existing customers.
Additional responsibilities include working with the engineering team as needed.

Required Skills & Experience
- BSEE (MSEE preferred)
- 5+ years experience in a customer support / applications engineering role
- Very comfortable scripting small tasks dynamically using languages such as Perl and Tcl
- Experience with synthesis (including libraries), RTL, Verilog coding, and logic design
- Experience with PrimeTime
- Experience in Physical Design (Place, Route, Timing)
- Hands-on team player able to work in a start up environment
- Good documentation and communication skills
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with maintaining 3rd party Design Tools
- Experience with Cadence Encounter suite or Magma BlastFusion
- Experience with Synopsys Design Compiler and Astro routing
